This saw was manufactured sometime between 1865 and 1871. The etch and the medallion say, "Disston & Son". This was the time period Henry Disston's oldest son worked at the business and prior to the time his additional sons started working for the company.

This is a great saw for a collection but it's also sharpened and ready to use. The etch is strong and easily readable. The upper horn is worn and the nib is broken off. The split nuts are in decent shape.

I didn't remove the handle to clean the blade on this one because the split nuts were stuck in the handle pretty good and I didn't want to damage them or the handle trying to remove them.
